Meghan Timmerman's passion for photography began as a teenager growing up in the horse country outside Baltimore, Maryland, where she spent countless hours photographing show dogs, horses, and the riders who shared a unique bond with them. During high school, she had the privilege of learning traditional film photography and darkroom techniques from the late Jim Warner, an accomplished and published Maryland photographer renowned for his innovative use of filters and darkroom processes to create distinctive artistic effects. Under his mentorship, Meghan developed a deep appreciation for light, composition, and image craftsmanship. Many of the techniques Jim Warner perfected in the darkroom are reflected in the digital tools and editing workflows photographers use today in programs such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
After relocating to South Carolina in 2004, Meghan continued photographing portraits and weddings while serving a select group of specialized clients with nationally ranked show dogs. Throughout her career, her work has been featured by respected names in the wedding industry, including The Knot, Brides, and WeddingWire. Today, through M. Timmerman Photography, she brings decades of experience and a timeless, refined approach to creating classic, authentic imagery that never goes out of style..
